We are back in Australia(a week early due to illness among the team)
We are still on outreach but now doing it locally in Townsville. I'm fairly busy and don't have heaps of time to update my blog, but I thought I would at least share a few pictures with you while you wait for a full update.
Thank you for all of your prayers and constant support!

The children of PNG are so beautiful! |
They would follow us EVERYwhere, and we LOVED it! |
Aren't they wonderful? |
This is Alice, we bonded over her playing with my long blonde hair... not something that they are used to seeing. This little girl is so sweet, and I miss hearing her raspy little voice yelling "Kayla Kayla". Before we left she gave me a sweet little necklace and bilum! |

We saw some of the most amazing skies I've ever seen in my life! |
I wanna go back! |
This is Teresa. Her mom and I got really close and I fell in love with this three month old baby girl! |
I could seriously just hold her all day! |
A little boy in church... |
This is John. He is blind in one eye. He was a really silly and cute little guy. |
Isn't he just the cutest? They loved when we brought stickers! It really is the little things in life... |
OK! This is Slyvester- Teresa's two year old brother. I LOVED this kid. He was so fun, I have a video of him yelling, "Auntie Kayla!" which I love! Him and I played a lot together during the third week! |
Here is baby Teresa again! |
This is John again(the one with the blind eye), this is the first day we met. Some kids pushed him over and he was on the sand crying. I picked him up and he clung to my shoulder, but his body stayed stiff as a board. It was pretty awkward, but he was content and it made him stop crying, so I just kept him there. He was naked(like many babies are) and I was totally afraid he would pee on me- but I didn't even care because he was so darn cute.
Alright, that is all for now- just a tid bit of picture to give you a taste of my time in PNG! Can't wait to share more about it later! Please be praying for our team as we try to look into opportunities for this next week to serve the local community here in Townsville! All my love- see you in five weeks! |
